As seen in many episodes, she isn't mean, she just wants attention and everyone to play by her rules and growing up is very hard for her. Throughout Rugrats she's shown some signs of no friends, having only the babies to play with because everyone thinks she's "mean", even Tommy her cousin does. She's actully nice and really just wants her parents to spend more time with her.

All Grown Up![]

Despite becoming more mature and more beautiful, She still has a bad temper, even as a preteen, but isn't that mean anymore. Now she doesn't want people to play by her rules, even letting her best friend Samantha Shane boss her around. She still isn't as close to her parents, until she gets a bit closer to her mother in the All Grown Up! episode Lost at Sea. Now she tries to go to preteen concerts, not even asking for her parents permission. She lies to her teacher, and when she got a D on a report she didn't do, or practice, she begged the teacher after class to move her grade up to a B.
