Spike is a Pet Hyena-dog the Pickles' family pet, and Tommy's best "animal" friend. Later on, he "marries" Fifi, and takes on a parental role to some puppies the growling and barking (vocal effects) by Peter Cullen. He was voiced by Michael Bell in a dream sequence in the episode "In the Dreamtime" and Bruce Willis in Rugrats Go Wild)

Spike is a friendly hyena-dog, loyal mutt whose main interest is food and his wife Fifi. Stu and Didi consider him a dumb, but pleasant member of the family. Yet Spike is often most aware of what the Rugrats are up to than they are. He and Tommy share interpid interest in, and curiosity about, the world around them. When he's not rescuing Tommy from impending doom. Spike often takes the babies on magnifigant adventures through the neighborhood adventures which Stu and Didi are never aware of. Spike is a orange-brown hyena-dog with a Darker brown bear-like nose, a wolf-like head, a large floppy bloodhound-like ears, a hyena-like neck, a tiger-like body, a cheetah-like legs, a two purple leopard-like spots and a cow-like tail. He and wears a red collar with a gold round dog tag. In the 2021 CGI series, the name "SPIKE" is clearly visible on the dog tag.
